When I first received the Pentax Opti W80 I was thrilled at how easy it was to use and the quality of the first few pictures I took. I was especially excited to have a camera I could use at the beach and even in the water. I took the time carefully to read the manual's instructions regarding maintaining the camera in water etc. My son and I used the camera for a week, and we were both careful not to leave it out in the sun, jump into the water with it etc. Unfortunately, the viewer stopped working and we could no longer see our subjects to shoot them, since we could not see them. What started out as my favorite digital so far, quickly dashed my expectations. Additionally, as I reviewed the pictures we DID take, I saw a definite decline in the quality of the images. I sincerely hope I just got a "bad camera," and that my experience is unique. As I said, the first day using the Pentax Opti W80 and I was hooked. Unfortunately, the love affair came to an abrupt end.
